Punk, much like painting or love-making, is an artform that recontextualises itself as it powers on through the generations. In this context it is no longer a reactionary schism within rock music. As heard on RX-1, this punk is the disembodied howl of nausea from the belly of a crumbling empire. An insane country made crazier by free-market oligarchs, deranged political dynasties, and AI apostles who can now count an entire generation of incredibly talented people as their adversaries.
